PartSense Privacy Policy

Pisco Inc. (“Pisco,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates PartSense, a platform that helps design engineers find, evaluate, and manage electronic components alongside supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing teams. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you use PartSense, including our website, web application, and any related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using PartSense, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account registration details, including name, email address, job title, and company name
  • Component searches, saved parts lists, and project data you create or upload
  • Communications you send us, including support requests and feedback
  • Billing and payment information processed through our third-party payment providers

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps
  • Device identifiers and usage patterns within the Platform
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6 for details)

1.3 Information From Third Parties

  • Component data, pricing, and availability from distributor and manufacturer APIs
  • Single sign-on (SSO) or OAuth data if you connect a third-party identity provider
  • Information about your organization provided by an account administrator

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Platform, including processing component searches and generating part recommendations
  • To personalize your experience and surface components relevant to your design requirements
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features
  • To process payments and manage billing
  • To monitor Platform performance, diagnose technical issues, and improve reliability
  • To develop new features and improve our machine learning models that power component matching
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors that help us operate the Platform, including cloud hosting providers, analytics services, payment processors, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only as directed by us.

3.2 To Improve and Perform Our Services

We may use information you provide, including component searches, project data, and usage patterns, to enhance and deliver our services more effectively. This includes sharing anonymized or aggregated data with trusted partners, researchers, or internal teams to improve component matching accuracy, supply chain intelligence, and platform performance. We will not share individually identifiable information for this purpose without your consent.

3.3 Component Data Partners

To fulfill search queries, PartSense interacts with distributor and manufacturer APIs. Queries may be transmitted to these partners in anonymized or aggregated form. We do not share individually identifiable information with component suppliers without your consent.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Pisco is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

3.5 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pisco, our users, or the public.

3.6 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@getpisco.com. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes or preventing fraud.

5. Data Security

Pisco implements industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

PartSense uses cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for login and core Platform functionality
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with PartSense
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and personalization choices

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
  • Portability: Request that we provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data, including for marketing purposes
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@getpisco.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, disclose, or sell; the right to delete personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. Pisco does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To submit a request, contact privacy@getpisco.com or use the “Contact Us” feature in the Platform.

9. International Data Transfers

Pisco is headquartered in the United States. If you access PartSense from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms to protect your data.

10. Children’s Privacy

PartSense is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact privacy@getpisco.com.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Platform prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of PartSense after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
